Who We are and How We are Enabled: Spiritual Identity

I pray that you all are continuing to enjoy the reading.

Our identity is inextricably attached to our family of origin. Through those familial connections we are formed socially, mentally, physically and to a large degree spiritually. In like manner, when we become members of the family of God/body of Christ, our spiritual identity is further formed by the spiritual community we are a part of.
Considering our LFCC spiritual community, how intentionally active are you at allowing the Holy Spirit to use you in forming other members of our leadership team? On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate our leadership at allowing the Holy Spirit to use us to form one another (please explain your rating)? Finally, what portion stood out to you the most?

I believe that I am very intentional in allowing the Holy Spirit to use me in forming other leaders. I know that God put all together for His purpose and we all have our own individual gifts and talents. For example, during ministry planning meetings I listen and respect other leaders input and ideas. By encouraging and singing along during praise and worship. Supporting other leaders in their ministries. being involve in all ministries in some way. Training and mentoring other leaders. Taking time to get to know other leaders. Praying for our Pastors, leaders and members daily.
I would give us a grade of 8 as leadership group in allowing the Holy Spirit in forming one another. I believe we all know and have our own individual roles and we also come together spiritually and physically to bring Glory to God. We do this when we come together in planning meetings, putting forth ministries, pre service, service, taking care of our members and non members through food give away or out reach.
What stood out to me is that God calls us as individuals but he ultimately Calls us collectively. ” This connectedness was designed so that we work in concert with each other”. The community identification is also seen in how Jesus taught the Disciples how to pray the Lords prayer. Its give Us our daily bread, forgive Us our sins, lead Us not into temptation, etc. God loves us as individual but He loves Us collectively as well.

  2. Deacon Yolanda Gardner says:

I am a person that don’t mind at all being in the background, so when The Holy Spirit shows me or instructs me to do something, or provide encouraging Words, I move instantly. This year 2020 The Lord is stretching me and I am Boldly WALKING in the assignments He is giving me. I Bless Hod that The Holy Spirit is moving in my Life to be able to Work as a Strong Team of Leaders at LFCC. With the decrease in Leaders, I was concerned for a short period of time but God has showed me that He can do the impossible. After saying all of this, I give give us a 9. We do as Leaders have ups and downs but we quickly come to one another and get back on one accord.
What stood out to me the most, we make room support and encourage one another when God calls us to an assignment. Some meetings include intense conversation, but everyone is heard and Respected. We all come from many different backgrounds but we are All going in the same direction. As long as we continue to follow our Pastors. Even when we don’t see I will Never Stop Working. God is Wonderful in my life and as long as I stay Walking with Him, He will grant me Every Promise.
    In His Service.

  3. Donzella Maupin says:

The most important ingredient that helps form myself is walking in the spirit of humility. When asked about staying out of sight that is my opportunity to help form a leader. I do not tell them what Donzella thinks I give them the word of God. I share Proverbs 18:16 “A man’s gift makes room for him or her” (NKJV). I tell them to look at the life of King David. It took David about 10 years or more between the times David was anointed a King before actually stepping into his position as a King. I can only help form a leader when I put into action my talk not just encouraging them but standing with them working hard building God’s Kingdom. An example is I continued calling Minister Krystal telling her I can help just tell me what to do. Lifting up the event daily in prayer for the front workers Minister Krystal and MIT/Trustee Allie. I help form leaders by exercising humility by listening, doing, and especially being in place to put my hands to work for wherever they need me to do for the event. I stand with them taking any assignments and doing it with a glad heart. I pack up their belongings and take their items to their cars. A leader can’t be an example or help form other leaders if they are stuck on their titles.
There are no 2 people that are alike or at the same level with their faith walk or their relationship with Christ. When I put in action the word affirmation, I get joy seeing the look on that person’s face because God knows what each one of us need and at the right time. So I affirm whether good or not so good none of us are perfect we all make mistakes. Seeing that smile or knowing I encouraged them to don’t stop get up and keep it moving. This is what stands out the most because that smile or thank you from he or she confirms that I heard God and I moved at the right time. So the rate I will give is 10
